The Boathouse has the most stunning view of all the Middleton Hall properties. Unique, idyllic and extremely romantic the boathouse will capture your heart and take your breath away from the moment you arrive. A secluded location which is surrounded by trees, The Boathouse is ideal for a luxury romantic retreat in a place you will never forget it is the perfect honeymoon destination. You will find the Middleton Otters close neighbours as well as a wide selection of wild birds who call our lake home (well for some of the year anyway!). With an open plan living space and excellent facilities The Boathouse is as practical as it is unique. Nature blends with the modern world effortlessly through floor to ceiling windows.
As no self respecting boathouse would be complete without a boat a private rowing boat can be used by guests to use on the Halls private lake. Why not bring your fishing rod and enjoy the use of the private lake which is currently stocked with carp, sturgeon and tiddlers. Guests can also explore the Halls private 30 acres of woodland and grounds.
Within the plant room there is a washer/dryer and room to store bikes and walking boots ect.
The Boathouse benefits from an open plan design which consists of the first floor living room, dining area, kitchen and bedroom. The floor to ceiling windows allows undisturbed views of the lakes and wildlife. All of the windows have high quality fitted blinds for your added privacy the boathouse however benefits from not been overlooked by anything but the birds that might fly by. The luxury bathroom comes complete with freestanding roll top bath a separate shower and toilet and sink. Bathrobes and bathroom linen are all provided.
The living area consists of a luxurious leather corner chaise sofa which includes an electronic backrest so you can hit the switch and your chair glides back and the footrest raise up. Ideal to gaze out over the lake and watch the stars twinkle at night. There is also a large flat screen tv which comes complete with freeview and a blue ray dvd player.
The modern fully fitted granite work top kitchen offers everything you would expect from a property of such a high standard. Electric oven, hob, integrated microwave, dishwasher, fridge with ice box but it also offers that something else in the form of a wine cooler. An iPod dock and radio is also provided along with a host of cookery books to give you a few ideas of what to create in the kitchen.
Outside the boathouse why not have yourself a BBQ using the one we provide and soak up the surroundings on the chairs and loungers. If you fancy something a little different why not head to the jetty and cast off on the flat bottomed boat. Make sure you remember your fishing rods and try your luck at a spot of fishing. If the water doesn't entice you why not head for dry ground and meander through the estates mature wooded grounds where you will be greeted by the friendly wildlife and your senses heightened by the fresh flowers.
2 people – ideal for couples looking for a luxury romantic break. Due to the first floor position of the boathouse we regret that we cannot accept children or babies for health and safety risks.
Minimum stay is 3 nights. Change over days are Friday and Monday. Check in is Friday 4pm and check out Monday 10am.
